Today I would like to talk briefly an exciting alternative to using Microsoft Office products. As we all know, Microsoft has been the leader in many a software for decades with their cut-throat attitude to competitors. I would like to real a hidden secret; There are alternatives to the ever expensive, ever proprietary Microsoft Office. It is called Open Office.
Open office was originally developed for UNIX/LINUX systems as the answer to office based products for the open source community. IT has since been ported to windows, and other operating systems. It can edit, create, and manage all Microsoft based documents such as; .xls, .doc, .rtf, .txt, .ppt and more. It can also create it’s own variant documents with blinding ease. It is a great alternative to using Microsoft based office products. I myself use this software as a direct replacement!
